Peer Review Process

Manuscripts submitted to Sanskriti: Journal of Humanities undergo a rigorous evaluation process to ensure high academic standards and relevance to the journal's scope. The complete peer review process typically takes 5–7 weeks from the date of submission, depending on reviewer availability and the nature of revisions required.

  1. Initial Review: Each submission is initially reviewed by the Editorial Board to assess its alignment with the journal’s focus, originality, novelty, sufficiency of data, and adherence to formatting guidelines.
  2. Double-Blind Peer Review: Manuscripts meeting the initial criteria are sent to at least two peer reviewers for evaluation through a double-blind peer review process, ensuring the anonymity of both authors and reviewers.
  3. Review Outcomes: Upon completion of the review process, the assigned editor evaluates the reviewers’ feedback and makes an initial decision:
    • Revisions Required: If revisions are necessary, the manuscript is returned to the authors with specific feedback for improvement.
    • Final Decision: After revisions are resubmitted, the editor makes the final decision to accept or reject the manuscript.

Reviewer Selection and Conflict of Interest:

  • Authors may recommend potential reviewers in their cover letter. The editorial team ensures there are no conflicts of interest before contacting these reviewers.
  • Authors can also request the exclusion of specific reviewers during submission. These requests are honored as long as they do not compromise the objective assessment of the manuscript.
  • Reviewers are selected based on their expertise, research experience, and publication record in fields relevant to the manuscript. Parameters such as citation metrics and h-index values may also be considered.

Peer reviewers evaluate manuscripts on both substantial and technical aspects, contributing to the journal's commitment to maintaining scholarly rigor and quality.
